A 37-year-old man, accused of alleged child sexual abuse, died this afternoon at the San Martín Hospital in La Plata, where he had been taken after throwing himself from the fourth floor of the courthouse where he was being tried. According to the official communiqué accessed by the Argentine News Agency, Miguel Zacarias was seriously injured and death occurred due to brain death. The accused had been detained since last Tuesday, March 3, for the crime of sexual abuse with carnal access, the victim is an 11-year-old girl, sister of the now deceased's girlfriend. The sexual abuse case was being handled by La Plata's Office 15 Prosecution, under Cecilia Corfield.
